FEATUREBANK was registered as a private limited company in October 2006 and began trading in April 2007. Based in Ashford, Kent, the company is owned and run by managing director Neil Kennett and his wife Melody.
After gaining a degree in Geography and Politics from Queen Mary and Westfield University, London, Neil entered full-time employment with partworks publisher Marshall Cavendish.
Determined to write for a living, he gained valuable experience as assistant press officer at the newly launched National Crime Squad. He then moved to Blake Publishing (run by former national newspaper editor John Blake), where he worked mainly on celebrity biographies.
After a short but profitable spell in online editing at the height of the dot-com boom, Neil wrote red button copy for Channel 4 before joining the Retail Motor Industry Federation press office in 2003.
Writing for the Federation's websites and membership magazines by day, he attended evening classes at The Journalism Centre to get his National College for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) certificates.
With professional qualifications and 10 years' experience in journalism and PR, the time was right to launch FEATUREBANK. The company has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Neil is now one of the UK's most in-demand freelance motoring journalists. He writes regular columns covering new and used car sales, the aftermarket, business news and motorsport.
On the PR side, FEATUREBANK has secured contracts with a number of prestigious clients and we do regular ad hoc work for several others, mostly in the automotive and broadcast sectors.
